Ich will euch allen (d.h. meinen Klassen) ein ganz großes Kompliment machen. Ihr habt diese Woche sehr gut mitgemacht. Ihr habt viel gelernt und fast alle haben ihre Hausaufgaben gemacht. Ich bin sehr froh, dass Deutsch II den DVD-Film so gut versteht. Deutsch I arbeitet ganz gut mit Sabine und Michael.

On Friday, February 1st we will be having the next “Bretzeltag” and “Grillfest” all rolled into one. You may order a giant pretzel for $3 or a bratwurst and a drink for $4. Please pay by tuesday January 29th. Pretzels will be distributed all day, but the bratwursts will only be available at lunch. See you there!

Es war doch ein sehr erfolgreiches Jahr! Wir freuen uns, Herr Meyer, unseren Referendar (Student Teacher) noch bis Ende des Herbstsemesters dabei zu haben. Ich kann für uns alle sprechen, wenn ich sage, daß Herr Meyer ein sehr guter Lehrer ist. Ich bin ja sehr erstaunt wie viel Deutsch ihr gelernt habt!
